New All Weather Pitch for Grovelands Community School

Grovelands Community Primary School in Hailsham, East Sussex, are the proud owners of a brand new all weather pitch.
Sportslawn Ltd installed the 18m x 40m pitch, despite outrageous weather conditions, during the winter months.
The school opted for Sportslawn because of the competative price and the lack of disruption during installation, some of which took place during term time. The school chose the popular '3rd Generation' surface: a 50 mm carpet which is sand and rubber filled. This has resulted in a comfortable and safe surface that can be used all year round.
The school had great problems in the winter- their playing fields regularly becoming water logged and leaving the tarmac playground as the only option for play time and sports lessons.
The children are extremely pleased with their new sports facility and are enjoying being able to slide tackle with abandon and are falling over with smiles on their faces.

New All Weather Pitch for Woodheys Primary School

Laura Daniels, Head Teacher at Woodheys Primary School in Sale, Cheshire is thrilled with the schools new All Weather Pitch.

The 24m x 30m pitch provided by Sportslawn Ltd has a third generation, sand and rubber filled surface. The children are playing sports with new confidence and there are less additions to the school accident book!

The school enlisted Chris Bullock, a Football Association accredited coach, to help choose the correct size and surface. Mr Bullock who uses the pitch for out of school coaching says the surface is 'Fantastic!' The Extended Schools Initiative helped with the funding.

Mrs Daniels has said 'The pitch is wonderful, and great value. Sportslawn gave us a very competitive price compared with the other companies that quoted.'

The pitch was finished with Sportslawn Kickboards manufactured from tough recycled plastic. Mrs Daniels commented 'We have a small vandal problem at the school and one surprising benefit is the ease with which we are able to remove grafitti from the fence, all that was needed was a cloth and some white spirits.'
